Filler Dissolving

Slots generally start at 1 hour for an area such as the lips. This includes a 30 minute patch test on your arm to test for an allergy to the enzyme. 

If the patch test shows an allergy to the Enzyme, we will be unable to proceed with the treatment for your own safety. This means that at this time, it will not be possible to dissolve the filler. In this instance, you will only be charged £150 to cover the medication cost.

Once the filler is dissolved, it's dissolved for good. The waste-products will be flushed away naturally by your body, and the filler will no longer be there. It's always possible that very small volumes of filler may remain after the procedure, but the overwhelming majority will be gone for good. 

1 area costs £250 including the consultation and patch test. Each additional area is charged at £100. For example, the lips count as a single area, and each cheek would count as a single area each.

You may look a little swollen and most likely bruised after a dissolve. You'll be fine to go back to work after 12 hours, but it's good to be aware bruising can sometimes be significant.

Practitioners in our practices are specialized in aesthetics, so their experience and skill level by far surpasses other practices where filler dissolving injections are simply 'another treatment' the doctor offers.

As long as the filler used was a Hyaluronic Acid based dermal filler, the enzyme should succeed at dissolving it. 

If the filler is PLLA (eg. Sculptra, Aspella) or Calcium Hydroxyapatite (eg. Radiesse) based, the enzyme will not work and dissolution will be unsuccessful. However, the overwhelming majority of dermal filler procedures in the UK are carried out using Hyaluronic Acid based dermal fillers. 

It's always good if you can check which filler was used with the previous practice you had the dermal filler administered by.

Here at The Gorgeous Clinic, we can dissolve filler in areas such as the lips, cheeks and chin. Throughout our time serving our local communities around our clinics, we have carried out some complex and extensive dissolve procedures which have taken over 4 hours. The end result is always our top priority.

We mix local anaesthetic will the enzyme to make it more comfortable. We also use numbing cream in areas we know it will help, such as the lips. However, some clients do still experience some discomfort and a 'pinchy' feeling as the dissolver goes in. However, this quickly goes away as the local anaesthetic starts working almost instantly.
