Fat Dissolving Injections

We generally book a 45 minute slot for this treatment. This gives you time to arrive and get settled, have a refreshment, and go through the plan with your clinician before treatment.

Results are permanent provided a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle are maintained. Certain health conditions can also cause weight gain, but the weight would be added proportionally across your whole body rather than it going all back to your chin.

When we're doing a treatment plan we generally do a session every 4 weeks. However, if the treatment area still feels tender or numb at the 4 week mark, we prefer to push it back to every 6 weeks. Tenderness means the treatment is still working.

There's no real recovery time - you could have this as a lunch-time procedure. However, the treated area will likely feel tender and experience mild to severe bruising. A little swelling is also expected - the injections intentionally cause inflammation, and the area will look worse before it looks better.

Absolutely not. We mix local anaesthetic with our fat dissolving injections, so the area goes numb as the solution goes in. 

The needles we use are very fine and very comfortable. We sometimes use blunt microcannulas which also produce less bruising, depending on the fat levels.

We generally don't need to use any numbing cream, the procedure is fast and just feels like a series of small pinches. Our clinicians are trained to make this procedure as comfortable as possible, and it's definitely not a bad one. Some clients don't even feel the microcannula technique in the double chin. 

You're in safe hands. All of our fat dissolving injections are carried out by certified Medical professionals, including Doctors and Nurses. Not only that - our clinicians are not "part time" in medical aesthetics. Fat Dissolve practitioners in our practices carry out this procedure as a full time job, so their experience and skill level by far surpasses other practices where fat dissolving injections are simply 'another treatment' the doctor offers. Fat dissolving treatments are 'bread and butter' to our highly trained clinicians.  

Unfortunately not. This treatment can only be used to target small, stubborn fat deposits, such as those found in the double chin or lower belly. Whilst a noticeable visual result can be obtained in these areas, this is very different to full-body weight loss. 

It's not usually painful, but it does feel tender to the touch, numb and sometimes a little itchy for the weeks afterwards. This is very normal, and means the treatment is working. If you suspect an adverse reaction or infection, you should contact the clinic immediately.

If you can pinch it, we can most likely treat it. However, our treatments are designed to make you smile, not make you perfect. If we don't believe we can produce smiles, there's ethically no reason to carry the procedure out. 

We routinely treat the double chin area, lower abdomen, upper abdomen and flanks. We do carry out some fat dissolving on the face itself, but is very advanced and must be discussed in the clinic with your clinician.

Please bear in mind we have ethical considerations with offering this procedure, and our clinicians reserve the right to deny this treatment to clients suspected of suffering from poor mental health or body dysmorphia, where such a treatment would most likely not result in a confidence boost. 

We routinely propose alternative confidence-boosting practices for clients who we suspect the treatment would not provide a true confidence boost to due to poor mental health. Sometimes, the best treatment is no treatment. You're already perfect, we just offer tweaks and maintenance to help you feel your best. 

We offer a complimentary 16 week review for all clients receiving Fat Dissolving injections. This is just to have a check-in and see how the results have settled. We cannot guarantee results, as clients may continue to gain weight despite their treatment which would impede results.
